In 10.0.5 LSO, I created a Role with the same name as the Portal Role that is assigned to a group of users in Lawson Security,
which I thought was supposed to automatically give them the LSO Role since they are named the same.
But none of the users in LSO have access to the Personalization that I set up in the Role. Is there another step that I am missing to set
up the role for the LSO user?

In order to share a Personalization you need to open the Personalization Manager and copy the form personalizations you wish to share to the appropriate, Users, Role or Global Role (meaning everyone).

Matthew - In Role Maintenance - on the Personalization tab - I have the Personalization level set to User, and I have every checkbox checked.
But the user in that role does not have access to any of the personalizations. I have that same role name in the Portal Role in Lawson Security.
So what else do I have to do so that the user will have access to create their own Personalization?

You need the "Personalization Manager". The settings in Role Maintenance only allows you to give them the customization. You still have to explicitly share it using the "Personalization Manager". I dont remember the navigation path off the top of my head and I dont have access to LSO right now but I believe its some where in the Other or Administration or Tools section from the navigation on the left. Otherwise you can just type "Personalization Manager" into the search and it should pop right up.

I think I am not asking my question properly. If I set the role up to Allow User Script, if the user opens (for instance) HR11, and then goes to Tools > Personalization
shouldn't they have
Scripts
available on that Personalization drop down?

On the S3 Administration tab, in the role manager bring up the role and click on the personalization tab in LSO. here you can see whether users have access to create their own personalizations.

I have every box checked in Role Manager on the Personalization Tab. But my users in that role don't have access to them.

No. Running scripts attached to a custom LSO form is setup outside of personalization.

Users need to be enabled to run scripts before they can run scripts. Personalization only lets them customize a form view or do something based on some basic criteria they specify.

And to create a script you must use the command sforms:\\jscript in the Start field AFTER the form you want to attach it to is open in LSO.

The checkboxes in the Role Manager mearly allow the user the ability to create scripts and attach them to a form. but once they are attached they are only viewable by the user that created them. If you want to share them with other users you need to use the Personalization Manager. There is a lot of information in the LSO Admin guide about this but here is snipet I think addresses what youre looking for:
Managing personalization files
You use Personalization Manager to manage personalizations. This includes deploying personalizations to users other than those who created them and deleting personalizations.
To deploy personalizations to a wider audience
1. Open Personalization Manager. From Navigator, click S3 Transactions > S3 Administration and then double-click Personalization Manager.
2. Locate the user whose personalization(s) you want to deploy to a wider audience.
a.From the S3 Personalization Manager dialog box, select Source Type and Data Area.
For example, if you want to deploy personalizations created by a user, select "User" for Source Type. Make sure the data area you want to use is selected.
Note:If you are deploying a personalization for the first time, the source will be User (because all personalizations are initially affiliated with the user who created them). If a personalization has been deployed to a role, it could be deployed to another role. In that case, you would select "Role" for Source Type.
b. Use the Filter feature to narrow the list of users or simply scroll through the list of users that appears in the bottom pane of the dialog box.
c. When the user whose personalization(s) you want to use appears in the list, click Select. Personalizations created by this user appear in a window.
d. Click the personalization you want to deploy, or, use Ctrl+click to select multiple personalizations, and then click Copy.
3. Deploy the copied personalizations.
a. You can deploy personalizations to a user, to a role (a group of users) or globally (all users in the data area). In Target Type, select User, Role, or Global.
b. If you are deploying to a user or to a role, click Select to locate the user or role.
Or
If the user or role that you want to deploy to is currently displaying in the bottom half of the screen, highlight it and then click Select.
In the case of roles, only those that are not already existing targets will be listed.
c. Click Copy at the bottom of the dialog box.
All personalization files that you copied are now available to these users.

Thank you all. I got the script out to the Role in the Personalization Manager. The only problem I am still having is that whey they create conditional styles,
the conditions aren't working. They worked in our old version of LSO.
Also, if anyone else has 10.0.5, could you tell me if the filters are working? What I am seeing is that if I want to look for anyone named Mary, if I type in !=,
the ! disappears before I can type in the Mary. However, if I type in !Mary, and then insert the = between ! and Mary, the filter gives me everyone thats not Mary.
It happens with any of the filters that are two special characters.

Thanks Matt for the information. I thought you can do this in a different way but learnt something new today.
Thanks again.

Mary regarding filters - you must enter the filter text before entering a filter token. An easy way to enter the tokens is from the context menu of the filter textbox. Right-click and select Filter tokens. There you see what tokens are available and by selecting from the menu, the token will be pasted in the filter text box for you.
