DCCLASS FILE Deduction Class Contains information about deduction classes. Deduction classes group deductions. You link deduction classes to deductions by storing a deduction class in the Deduction file. PR02.1 (Deduction Class) is the primary program that updates this file. You can also use deduction classes to define garnishment deductions. The Benefits system creates a Deduction Class file record when a flex benefits plan uses a taxable amount deduction. The system creates a taxable amount deduction as a Deduction file record with the pay summary group stored in the deduction class field. Since the deduction class field has a value in it, the system creates a Deduction Class file record to maintain data integrity.
