    Hello,
We are currently using fax integrator and it is stable and supported but we're wanting to upgrade to current version to position ourselves better for 10. Anyone with experiance upgrading to 9.0.1.1 please reply with time frame examples and any lessons learned they experianced. I searched for any patches to the Sept 2011 release and found none on KB.

Thank you all in advance for your replies

I've got some experience... I used a new PC to upgrade to, so that the current one could stay in place and working. It was XP, not 2008. The whole install and test took about a day. Some things to note: When using a new PC, you'll have to go through and set up all of the directories again, so I'd make screen shots of the existing, so that you know what to put in the fields when they are presented again.
Fairly straightforward upgrade... One thing that I never thought of though, was the margins of the faxes being received by the vendors. To fix this (there's a KB article about it... but I'll sum it up here). Open the outgoing fax ( .rtf files) with notepad, and shrink the margins. I think the new install defaults to .5 inches all around.. and I believe that the KB article says to make them .25, but you'll have to check to be sure, I'm just going off of what I remember, and the mind is not what it used to be.

There MAY have been some cleanup of the phone numbers in Lawson itself for the vendors needed, but that may have just been needed here, I'm not sure as I'm not that one that did that part of the task.

      Good luck, and cheers,
      -Greg

Thank you Greg. The information was very helpful. I'm going to search for the KB article on the margins. Hope its a system setting and not something you have to set for each .RTF that is sent everytime as I'm interpriting form your responce. Our users are not having this issue currently with our vendors.

No, Cindy... once you have saved a single rtf file with the correct margins, the rest will default to that. I just can't remember the specifics. Sorry.

Look for KB # 5120305 ---- I guess the default is higher than .5 as that is what the change is indicated to.
