Does anyone know how the name of the export file is built? We are having an issue when the path name + the file name exceeds 60 charaters. It truncates the file name (i.e somtimes we get ...print1.cs....print1.c....pri...).

This is a hard-coded system limitation that Lawson does not like to mention to it's customers until it's too late. Usually this comes into play for Windows clients who have a fairly long domain name and long user-id's
The only option you have is to reconfigure your installation to have a shorter path, or as Lawson actually suggested to us, "you will need to change your domain name to something smaller." :-o
We ended up changing the install path from L:\LAWPROD\... to simply L:\P\... This change gave us an added 6 characters for the path to the csv file, resolving the issue for our user base, and we have not had any issue since.

To provide a little more information, the folder name under the users print manager (e.g. 1234, 56789, etc...) is randomly generated by some environment code. The maximum size for it is 7 characaters (i.e. 1234567). The actual print file is determined by the number of times the user has accessed the CSV function for GL90 that day (e.g. print1.csv, print2.csv, ...print12.csv)
Hope this helps,

I submitted an enhancement request to www.inforcommunities.com regarding this issue. It is enhancement id 30551. Please vote for it so they can work on it. We need this. You need to be a registered user in the inforcommunities to vote.
Thanks,
Debbie
