PA03.1 - Position Change Use PA03.1 (Position Change) to complete the update process that begins when you change position information in PA02.1 (Positions). When you change information for a current position on PA02.1, the new information may need to update requisitions, new employees, current employees, and pending actions. Updating the positions and resolving the above situations can require four steps: 1. Change the information in PA02.1. 2. Run PA102 (Position Update). 3. Run PA100 (Action Update). 4. Use PA03.1 (Position Change). Before you use PA03.1, you should use run the following forms in this order: 1. Run PA102. 2. Run PA100. If you use PA03.1 before you run PA102 and PA100, the form might display many situations that PA102 and PA100 will resolve. After you run PA102 and PA100, PA03.1 displays information about employees or requisitions that have been assigned to a position that has ended. To resolve the situation you can: - Extend the end date of the position, - Close the requisition, - Terminate the employee, or - Assign the requisition or employee to a new position. After you resolve the situations, use the Delete line action on PA03.2 (Position Change - Detail) to remove the employee or requisition from PA03.2. Then use the Delete line action on PA03.1 to remove the field values from PA03.1. For more information about changing position information, see the Personnel Administration Procedures Manual. You resolve these situations by: - Extending the end date of the position, - Closing the requisition, - Terminating the employee, or - Assigning the requisition or employee to a new position. After you resolve the situations, use the Delete form action to remove the employee or requisition from PA03.2.
