I am at a client site where we are using Infor 10 and also have a depletion interface for our perpetual inventory locations. The EPIC runs at 2am and then at 6am someone runs the job in Lawson. This means that it is sometimes more than 24 hours between the case cart being picked and that item decrementing from Lawson. Since this is the case, there is a huge trust factor because the system count is never "right".

Are there folks out there that are depleting more often or using another way to get supply usage other than the completed case log?

    Advice is much appreciated.

We run the depletion interface twice daily- 1am and 10am. They are supposed to have all their cased logged for the day so they are included in the 1am run. We found that they were still completing some the next morning, so that is why we added the 10am run. It is better but still not real time.

For us, in most cases, IC140/IC141 is only run once a day, usually sometime in the morning. As long as the depletion interface has run by that time it shouldn't be an issue. And if the storeroom staff is on top of their max levels and reorder points there shouldn't be any stock-outs.
