TR500 - Training Conversion
**Form Purpose
Run Training Conversion (TR500) to import training data from a non-Lawson
system into the Lawson Personnel Administration system.
**Processing Effect
This program takes fields from the conversion file and updates the associated
files as if the employee was added on TR21.1 (Training History).
**More Information
Before you run TR500, you need to set up courses on TR01.1 (Courses). If you
want competencies to update PA21.1 (Competencies), you need to enter
competency information for courses on TR03.1 (Course Competencies). If you
want certifications to update PA22.1 (Certifications), you need to set up
tracks on TR05.1 (Track) and then link courses to each track on TR06.1 (Track
Courses); certifications are updated after an employee completes the last
course for the track.
Updated Files
BNCHANGE - The Benefit Audit file is updated with benefit changes.
BNGRPCHG - The Benefit Group Change file is updated with group changes
that affect benefits, for example, when a track is completed
and a certificate awarded.
CKPOINT - The Checkpoint file is the environment file used for recovery.
EMPCODES - The Employee/Applicant Personnel Codes file is updated with
the certificate when the track is completed.
PAEMPLOYEE - The Employee Personnel Information file is updated with the
skill.
PAEMPTRACK - The Required Training file is updated when the track is
complete.
PATRNHIST - The Training History file is updated with courses.
PERSACTION -
PERSGROUP - The Employee Group Header file is updated if a new skill or
certificate places an employee into a new employee group.
PGEMPLOYEE - An employee's record is rebuilt in the Employee Group
Employees file if a new skill or certificate changes the
employee's group membership.

BENEFIT - The Benefits file is accessed to determine if benefit records
exist for an employee.
DEPTCODE - The Department file is referenced by the employee routine.
EMPLOYEE - The Employee file verifies the employee, and retrieves the
employee name. It is also used as part of the employee group
routine.
EMSTATUS - The Employee/Applicant Status file is accessed to retrieve
employee statuses.
